Trouble Loading Coil
Coil could not be loaded into the machine. Attempt to feed coil were unsuccessful. Previous runs also produced a humming noise.
Possible Causes
- Side plate locking bolts loose.
- Adjuster screws not set correctly.
- Rollers to tight.
- Failed bearing in one of the rollers.
Possible resolution
- Ensure side plate locking bolts are loose before adjusting roles.
- Reset rolls to suit gauge thickness.
- Loosen station 2 to allow material into station and retighten to correct position.
- Inspect bearings, Spin rollers without material in and feel for jolting or tightness.
Quick Tip
- Always set machine for material gauge.
- Regularly check bearings for damage.
- Ensure that slitting oil hasn’t been used in the slitting process.
