Truss Profile Twisting

Explanation

There is uneven pressure on one side of one of the rollers in the Roll cage. This effectively stretches one side more than the other, causing a twist or corkscrew effect as it extrudes from machine.

Uneven lips can also be the cause of profile twist.

Possible resolution

Using the set-up gauges check each roll is even left to right and repeat this process through all stages.

Additionally, verify that the lips are uniform on both sides. If the lips are uneven, it may lead to the steel profile being stretched more on one side than the other.
