How to Replace The Encoder

Although The Panel machine is used as an example in this document you can apply the same principles for a Truss machine. Just orientation and location differs

 

Encoder 1

Step 1

Switch off the RF and isolate the power supply.

Disconnect old encoder by unscrewing connection

Step 3

To replace the encoder loosen the grubscrew holding the encoder wheel onto the encoder shaft.

Remove the encoder wheel and make sure the wheel has not been damaged. If the encoder wheel has been damaged it will need to be replaced.

Step 5

Remove the 3 capscrews which connect the encoder to the bracket. Remove encoder and put in new one.

Once new encoder is back in place with wheel attached you can reconnect to the cable

Step 7

Turn on the RF and run out a length of steel to check the calibration.
