How to Replace the Sprocket on a Drive Motor

Step 1
Remove chain cover.

Step 2
If the chain linkage is not positioned at the bottom of the cog, then load the rollers forward until the linkage is at BDC (Bottom Dead Centre).

Step 3
Turn machine off and isolate.

Step 4
Remove the chain locking linkage.

Step 5
Remove the chain linkage.

Step 6
Loosen the gearbox locking bolts to allow the motor and gearbox to drop downwards.

Step 7
Loosen off (2) grub screw that lock the drive sprocket onto shaft.

Step 8
Remove the existing drive sprocket and replace it with the new sprocket supplied.

Step 9
With the new sprocket in place tighten the (2)grub screws locking the sprocket onto the shaft.

Step 10
Tighten the motor and gearbox in the upwards position to allow the drive chain to be replaced.

Step 11
Replace the chain linkage.

Step 11
Loosen the 4 M8 bolt to allow the motor and gearbox to drop downwards, then in the resting position tighten the bolts.

Step 12
Replace chain cover.
