Bottle jack has leaks
Possible Causes

Seals are worn or damaged
Possible resolution
Purchase a replacemnt seal kit and follow these instructions.
1. Remove the side drain plug and hold the jack horizontally with the drain hole facing down over a container to catch the waste oil.
2. Once all of the oil has been drained, using a bench vice securely grip the base with the jack pointing vertically.
3. Now that the jack is mounted in the vice, undo the top using a socket and a strong arm bar.
(It is important to keep a container under the jack at all times to catch any remaining oil)
4. Once the top gland is removed you can pull the main shaft(s) out and begin cleaning off the oil residue with brake clean.
5. Now start replacing the o-ring seals on the bottom of the shafts and in the top
gland.
6. With the new seals in place use oil or grease to lubricate the new seals.
7. Now reinstall the shaft(s) and then screw the top gland down till it becomes tight.
8. Then with the jack still vertical fill with hydraulic oil 46 until the oil level reaches
the bottom of the hole.
9. Reinstall the drain plug.
10. Test jack is working.
Quick tip
Never leave the jack under pressure. Once you have lifted the coil onto the decoiler
insert the carriage locking pin and release pressure in the Bottle Jack.
