Accumulator Recharge

How to Recharge Accumulator on your Hydraulics system

WARNING – Accumulators must be charged slowly as nitrogen gas will freeze the rubber bladder if filled to quick causing it to crack and will be unable to hold pressure.

Step 1

Remove Red Cap.

Remove black cap on gas charging valve.

Step 3

Select the correct charging adaptor.

Fit Charging adaptor to charging head. Ensure handle is unwound once adaptor has been fitted to charging head.

Step 5

Screw charging head and adaptor to gas charging valve on top of accumulator.

Step 6

Connect pressure gauge to Port A and feed hose from nitrogen bottle to Port B.

Step 7

Fit Feed hose and flow control to nitrogen bottle making sure the flow control valve is fully closed before fitting to bottle.

 

Accumulator 9

Step 8

            • Turn handle on top of charging head Clockwaise to open valve.
            • Open Nitrogen bottle main valve.
            • Very slowly open flow control valve to allow accumulator to fill with nitrogen till required pressure is reached.
            • Close flow control valve and nitrogen bottle main valve.
            • Turn handle on charging head anticlockwise to close the gas valve on accumulator.
            • Remove feed hose, gauge and charging head and replace black cap on valve.
            • Replace red cap on accumulator.
